Gino Mayaute is the founder and director of Total Xtreme Dance Company in Taiwan. Gino, born in Peru and with Australian nationality, is the only professional Latin dance artist with Latin American cultural background in Taiwan. He is also the most passionate Latin dancer and promoter in the Latin dance scene.

His passion for dance has evolved to include dances such as South American Folklore dances, contemporary, ballet, salsa, zouk, samba, cha cha, bachata, , jazz and international Latin. He has choreographed numerous high profile performances and trained many dancers around the world into award winning categories. His personal achievements and contribution to the dance scene community are well recognised internationally. Gino has won the 1st place in Professional Division of New Zealand Salsa Championship in 2000 and the 1st place of Australia Salsa Championship in 2001. He has judged the Asian Salsa Open Championships, Hong Kong 2009 and 2011, the International Bachata Festival in Singapore in 2010 and also the 2015 and 2016 New Zealand Salsa Open. He has also taken Taiwanese dancers to compete in Asia Salsa Open Championships held in Hong Kong, winning titles for two years in a row.

Through his drive and dedication to achieve, he aspires to challenge international dancing and take it to the next level. His goal is to continue inspiring people around the world through the art of dance. He has travelled intensively around the world teaching, performing and working with other dancers. He has also attended many dance work shops taught by international dancers in North & South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Some of his teaching and performances have been done in Peru, USA, Australia, New Zealand, India, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore among others.

Most of the performances in the company are choreographed, coached and supervised by Gino.
