Salsa
Salsa is the most popular Latin Dance style nowadays. Salsa like the sauce (In Spanish) is a cocktail of various ingredients. It is a result of many cultural influences including Afro-Caribbean, Cuban and Jazz rhythms. During the 1970’s The Hispanic Community in New York combined various elements from Son, Mambo, Cha-cha and flavoured it with Puerto Rican influence to produce the exiting dance we experience today.
We have the highest level of Salsa performances in Total Xtreme Dance company whether is a couple or a group
Bachata
Bachata is a romantic and sensual dance from the Dominican Republic borrowing from Cuban Bolero Rhythms; prevalent are tales of heartbreak and sadness.
Bachata has three main styles, Dominican, Italian and Bachata -Tango Styles. In Total Xtreme we offer the three styles according to our clients needs.
Rumba
Ballroom-rumba, is one of the five International Latin ballroom dances which occurs in social dance and in international competitions. Rumba is the slowest of the five competitive International Latin dances, it derived from a Cuban rhythm and dance called the bolero-son; the international style was derived from studies of dance in Cuba in the pre-revolutionary period
This dance is also very romantic and sensual and is one of the most popular dances to learn and to be performed around the world.
Samba
Ballroom-samba is the most lively and rhythmical of all the other International Latin Styles. It is related to traditional samba styles of Brazil, but differs from them considerably.
The ballroom-samba is a partner dance. It is danced under several different rhythms, including the original Samba (music). It is also possible to dance ballroom samba with flamenco, Zouk, and other South American rhythms.
Cha Cha
Originally known as the Cha Cha Cha. It is an offshoot of the Mambo in the slow tempo. The dance consists of three quick steps (Cha Cha Cha) and two slower steps on the ‘one’ and ‘two’ beats.
Our couple dance performances are mostly done in International Latin Level. In addition we can also perform it as a solo routine as well as theatrical.
Zouk
This dance style is based on or evolved from the lambada dance style and is typically danced to Zouk music or other music containing the Zouk beat. It is slower and smoother than lambada, making this dance even more sensual.
